Welcome Home Lucas!

It seems like Lucas changes more every day! We finally made it home. Why is it that they wait to do the circumcision until they are ready to send you home from the hospital? That was hard. I was not there for it... That was Jimmy's job. After witnessing childbirth, you would think he could handle that. When they were ready to do it, the nurse offered Jim a chair. He declined the offer. The doctor then replied, "He helped me deliver the baby. He'll be just fine." They proceeded with the circumcision and everything went smoothly. They began to wheel the baby out to head back to our hospital room when Jimmy had to ask for a chair. He nearly fainted! They rushed over to him and fed him crackers to make sure he didn't pass out. So, off they went - wheeling Lucas back through the halls followed by Daddy in a wheelchair! Childbirth is pretty traumatic. I guess circumcision tops it!

Wow! This was the most exciting experience. Sara was so strong and Jim was able to deliver the baby (of course with the doctors help).

We had our Fagan Family Reunion in July. It was nice to get away for a weekend. Even though I couldn't do anything... Jimmy yelled at me every time I tried having any fun! (that probably was a good thing) I have still been feeling pretty good, so it's hard to tell myself not to do things when I know I'm capable. There was one thing I REALLY wasn't capable of though. Tanning my back. How in the world do you do that without laying on your belly?? I was SO frustrated that I didn't want to go out in the sun at all! I don't get the opportunity to waterski often, so watching everyone else do it was pretty hard, too.

We are on the count down. The baby will be here soon. I'm in the cleaning mode. "Nesting" I guess. We have about 3 more weeks to go!
