Pajama Time

Probably the BEST BOOK EVER. If you have a kid, get it. If you have pajamas, get it.

This part is a MUST:
You HAVE to read it to the tune of MC HAMMER's "Hammer Time".
You will enjoy it even more if you happen to have MC Hammer-Like P.J's on while reading it.

I love it. I think it scares Jimmy how much I love this book. For real, people. GET IT. I've never meant anything more when I say that EVERYONE needs this book.

PS. Thanks, Tia Ashli for the Book. This gift beats the yellow paper.

Stop."PAJAMA TIME..."
You can't touch this.
peace out yo.

7 things to love about Lucas

Lucas is 7 months today!
Here are 7 things we LOVE about him:
  1. The way he plays with Daddy. He absolutely LOVES him. They rough house already. It's so fun to watch.
  2. The way he sleeps. (on his side nuzzling onto anything and everything he can grasp)
  3. He crosses his legs if you lay him on his back. Pretty dang cute.
  4. When he gets excited, he inhales, making this high pitch sound, squints his eyes and smiles so big. It's hard to describe, but he does it all the time. Then, he'll choke because of all the air he's just inhaled.
  5. We LOVE to be able to sit him on a blanket with a basket of toys and walk away. He entertains himself pretty well. He empties the basket one by one. Once it's empty, he'll yell at me. Then, I'll fill it back up and he starts all over again. (Jimmy urges him to crawl - I'm ok just the way things are!)
  6. He's beginning to be pretty vocal. It's fun to hear him jabber. I'll whistle, and he tries to mimic the sound with this loud SQUEAL.
  7. His CHEESY smile. (which now includes 2 teeth!)
Happy 7 Months, Lucas!
*we LOVE you!*

No... Please... NOT YET.

I turned away for a SECOND, and there he was... pulling himself up and almost out of the crib!
He kept hitting his head and mouth on the bars of the crib. He didn't care though. He was almost FREE. (or so he thought) CAUGHT RED HANDED.

I guess it's time to move the matress down. This is crazy.
He sure thinks he's hot stuff.

Too Blessed to be Stressed

This has been my motto as of late.
I remember telling my Mom, "don't worry" ALL THE TIME.
{more so during my high school years} even though I was an angel...
To that she would respond, "I have to, I'm your Mom."

Times have changed and now I am the one worrying. I stress about things that 99.9% never even come close to happening. Jimmy says that's why I have lots of Grey hair at such a young age. I say, {BE QUIET ABOUT THE GREY HAIR} and it's a good thing I have grey hair because it gave me a reason to go to beauty school so I can be his sugar momma. ;)

But really, WHY STRESS?
The Lord will provide when we do what is right. That's pretty much all there is to it. Time and time again, Heavenly Father finds some way to show us how much he looks out for us and loves us.
I'm sure I'll take after my Mom and worry about Lucas and his decisions in life, but there is no need to get worked up about things. I've begun to tell myself, "too blessed to be stressed" when I start to worry, and it WORKS. I'm working on chilling out, even though it's hard sometimes. I'm just too dang young to worry and WAY too
"Blessed to be Stressed"
so.
If I start to complain about something, kindly remind me of this. :)
Thanks.

Home Photo Shoot

We have yet to take pictures in a studio. It's just so much cheaper (free-er) to do it this way! I think someday I'll invest in some professional backdrops and lighting. Here are some recent pictures that I've taken:
and this last one is Lucas' little cousin Presley:
She's perfect!
