We got word that My Aunt Janice passed away and circumstances allowed us to jump in the car and head to Blackfoot, ID. We stopped at Yellowstone on the way and made a little trip out of it.
We saw LOTS of Buffalo. Now Lucas is always asking for me to draw "bubalows".

I was so glad we were able to make it. We shared some very sweet moments with her. My Mother and I helped prepare the body and I was SO grateful for that experience. We'll miss her so much. Especially her snippity sarcasm at our family gatherings. She sure brought the spice to our family.
It was so sweet to see Lucas take it all in. As we left the burial site, he turned back to look at the casket and whispered "bye" to Aunt Janice. Though it's sad, funerals always seem more positive in our family - just knowing we'll see her again brings such peace.
